Robert served in WWI in the 160th Battalion D Company. A Sergeant, he was gassed in Cambrai. He offered his Military Medal to be given to whoever put the bridge across the Canal Du Nord. He served on the police force of Bruce County for 25 years.
Robert & Beverley had 6 children: James Sherwood "Bud", Shirley, Marlene Beverley, Mary Lenore, Donald Scott & Alexina Elizabeth.
