Sandy was born on Dec. 31, 1946, the daughter of Dorothy (Davis) and Woodrow Rogers.
Sandy was a proud northender who attended Ridgley, Edison and Lanphier Schools. At Lanphier, Esther Duncan had a great influence on her life as did her mother and grandmother. She was a 1968 graduate of Greenville College and a lifelong student and teacher.
In 1969, she married Paul Hartman and soon became the world's best mother.
Sandy leaves behind her husband and four children: Paul Jr. , Heather , Stephen and Kimberly. She also leaves behind five cherished grandsons, a brother, David, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, inlaws, nieces and nephews.
Burial will follow in Camp Butler National Cemetery.
