Funeral services for Nels Gustafson, 92, of Carter Lake were held today at Augustana Lutheran Church, 35th St & Lafayette Ave.
An artist who did oil paintings for private clients, Gustafson continued his work until his death Saturday, though he was almost totally blind. He died of Pneumonia.
Survivors include sons, Howard, Tucson, Ariz., and Harold, Carter Lake; daughters, Mabel Hamel, Carter Lake; Luella Gunzenhauser, Council Bluffs; and Alberta Dabbs, Omaha.
Burial was at Hillcrest Cemetery.
