U.S. VeteranMr. Willie Lee Gordon, 87 of Jonesboro passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Forest Haven Nursing Home. He served his country in the United States Air Force.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 62 years, Doris Mason Gordon; children, Richard Gordon and Dorothy, Debbie Hurt and Edward, Mark Gordon, Shawna Straub and David; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Sawyer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Jessie Gordon and Bessie Lavonne (Wilson) Gordon; brother, John Gordon, Jr.; sisters, Ruby Watkins, Ruth Greer, Eunice Schmidt, Hazel Stewart.
Friends may visit with the family Friday 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Southern Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00pm in the Southern Chapel with Reverend Wayne Morrow officiating. There will be a private interment following at Siloam Cemetery.
