Donna Davidson, age 88, of Colon, passed away Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, at Fairview Nursing and Rehabilitation Community in Centreville.
Donna was born Nov. 13, 1928, in Sturgis, Mich., a daughter to the late Paul and Grace (Winklepeck) Unger.
On Jan. 23, 1973, she married Arden L. Davidson in Fremont, Ind.
Donna had made her home in Colon for the past 44 years coming from Sturgis. She was a homemaker and also had worked as a hostess at several Sturgis restaurants.
Donna was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Colon where she was a member of the Ladies Aid and also was a member of the Colon American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, Arden L. Davidson of Colon; step-sons, Arden Davidson Jr. of Colon, Mark Davidson of Kentucky, and Tim Davidson of Elk Grove, Ill.; step-daughter Tammy (Rusty) Winston of Bronson; and several step-grand and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother and sister-in-law Paul and Ann Unger.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Schipper Funeral Home LTD in Colon. Funeral services celebrating the life of Donna Davidson will be Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Colon with Rev. Calvin Kolzow officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Colon.
