Jeanette Newell Watkins, 78, passed away October 11, 2017. She was born July 16, 1940, to Mildred B. and L.C. Newell, Sr.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Watkins, and her daddy L.C. Newell, Sr.
Jeanette is survived by her son, Wade (Tami) Watkins; daughter, Melanie (Teddy) Torres; mother, Mildred Newell; siblings, Lexine (Shelton) Yocom, L.C. Newell, Jr., Carolyn (John) Fletcher, James (Roberta) Newell; grandchildren, David (Rachael) Thibodaux, Kaitlyn, Thomas, and Hailey Torres; special friend, Tommy Stiglet, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jeanette and Russell spent several years employed in Saudi Arabia and became worldwide travelers in their years together.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2017, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Moss Point/Escatawpa, MS. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Serene Memorial Gardens at 12 noon.
