She married Henry Earl Barnes. They had 2 kids: Sharon Kay Barnes McMullen and Greg Winfield Barnes. She died on October 19, 2017, in Dallas, Dallas, Texas, at the age of 98. She was buried by her husband, Henry, in the Oakland Cemetery in Weatherford, Parker, Texas.
