He is preceded in death by father, Jose Guadalupe Contreras and son, Juan Carlos Contreras, Jr.
Survivors include wife, Maria Contreras of Oneonta; daughters, Maribel Contreras and Elizabeth Contreras both of Oneonta; sons, David Contreras and Jose Contreras both of Oneonta; granddaughter, Arionah Contreras of Oneonta; sisters, Maria Elida Martinez (Martin) of Oneonta, Guadalupe Contreras Diaz (Octavio) and Marybel Contreras Mejia (Alberto) all of Mexico; brothers, Manual Contreras Nunez (Elvira) of Mexico, Ignacio Contreras Nunez (Rosa) and Martin Contreras Nunez (Alicia) all of Oneonta, Pedro Contreras Nunez (Irma) and Jorge Contreras Nunez (Lucy) all of Mexico; mother, Hermelinda Nunez of Mexico.
Father Jim Hedderman will officiate funeral services on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 12 Noon from Corpus Christi Catholic Church with burial following at Oak Hill Cemetery. Mr. Nunez will lie in state at Lemley Funeral Home on Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 5PM until 8PM.
