Curtis Darrell Bishop, 80, resident of Persimmon Ridge Nursing Care in Portland, passed away early Wednesday morning.

He was born in Russellville, AL, March 30, 1937 the son of Joel F. and Dorothy Rice Bishop.

He was a truck driver for most of his adult life driving for Marsh Supermarkets for 29 years retiring in 1999.

He was a US Army veteran and a member of the Local 135 Teamsters union.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his 2nd wife: Suzanne Bishop.

Survivors are his wife: Ruby Bishop of Winchester, son: Brian Bishop (Donna) of LaMesa, CA, daughters: Kristie Bishop of West Lafayette, IN and Kerry Audler (Bob) of Indianapolis, step children: Roger Gillespie of Muncie and Melissa Westlake of Yorktown, 1 grandchild: Matt Olson, step grandchildren and great grandchildren, 1 sister: Marion Holt of Ohio.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM at Saunders Cemetery in Daleville.

Memorials may be made to the Little Red Door Cancer Services of Delaware County.
