Employed at the Vermont Marble Co. and local area farms in Danby until 1972 when he moved to Barre. He was employed as a part-time manager at Sandy Pines Trailer Park until 2008. He also worked for Gordon Booth from 1972 to 1980.

Married Kathleen Hall on April 13, 1957 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Rutland. They lived in Rutland, Pittsford, Barre and then settled in East Montpelier. She predeceased him on Sept. 25, 2008.

Enjoyed gardening, fishing, and visiting with friends and neighbors.

Lifetime member of the Canadian Club in Barre, VFW Post #790, of Montpelier and the American Legion, Post #3, of Montpelier.

Survived by three sons and two daughters and their families; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother; and one sister

Predeceased by his parents; his wife; four brothers and one sister.
