REGINA ETHYL FRIEND KIRK



Regina Ethyl Friend Kirk, 48, of Rogersville, MO passed away October 16, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. She was born November 21, 1968 in Loogootee, IN, the daughter of Edd W. B. and Ina Bell (Russell) Friend.

The family of three moved back to Ozark County when Regina was only seven weeks old. Regina went her whole 13 years of school in Gainesville, graduating with the class of 1987. She then continued her education in Springfield at SMSU (now Missouri State University) getting a sociology degree.

Regina was working in Springfield when she met Paul Darren Kirk. The couple married on July 10, 1994 and to this union one son was born, Dakota Cordell Kirk.

Regina is survived by her husband Paul and son Dakota of the home in Rogersville; one brother Derek Scott Friend and wife Delane of Springfield; parents Edd and Ina Friend of Noble; several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; and many aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2017 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO with Brother Dale Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Thornfield Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday afternoon from 1 p.m. to service time at the funeral home.

The family asks that memorial contributions be made to help with funeral expenses and can be left at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
