Vickie Martin, 67, went to be with the Lord, October 17, 2017. She was born June 10, 1950 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas

Vickie graduated from Star City High School in 1968. She then attended UAMS where she graduated as a Radiology Technician. She immediately went to work for St. Vincent where she achieved the position of St. Vincent Breast Center Manager. She retired after thirty-two years of faithful, dedicated service to St. Vincent and the families they serve. Vickie achieved the Josetta Wilkins Lifetime Achievement Award in 2015 for her work, passion and determination for the fight against breast cancer.

Vickie is preceded in death by her father, John C. Polk, Jr.

Survivors: mother, Frances Vick Polk; sister, Thrita Griffith; brother, John C. Polk, III; two nieces, Kenda Chandler and Jessi Polk; three great nieces, Frances Thompson (Josh), Brenda Chandler and Rebecca Gracie; six great-great-nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members and friends.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, October 20, 2017 at Fellowship Bible Church Little Rock, with Pastor Bill Parkinson and Shelby Smith officiating.
