Junior Lee Stillwell, age 68, of Mineral Bluff, GA, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017. Junior was a native of the Copper Basin area and was a son of the late Willard and Carmel Swanson Stillwell. He was self employed with Stillwell Construction enjoying the work he did in excavating. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed hunting along with Nascar and Dirt Track racing.
He is survived by his loving wife, Terri Stillwell of the home; children, Missy (Shannon) Green of Copperhill, TN, Kathy Bell of Dalton, GA, Jeff (Nichole) Pennick of Dunlap, TN, Jennifer (Weyman) Ledford of Ellijay, GA, Joey Sudol of Mineral Bluff, GA, Frank (Rachael) Asci of McCaysville, GA, Blake Stillwell of Mineral Bluff, GA; brothers, Jerry Stillwell of Copperhill, TN, Paul Stillwell of Ducktown, TN, Don Stillwell of Mineral Bluff, GA, James Stillwell of Copperhill, TN, David Stillwell of Copperhill, TN; sisters, Jeanette Elrod of Copperhill, TN, Juanita Adams of Turtletown, TN; Grandchildren, Rayasha Cheek, Joshua Green, Bryan Bell, Megan Bell, several other grandchildren and great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Montgomery officiating. Music will be by Austin O'Neal. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The family request memorial contributions be made to help defray final expenses.
