Dale L. Barrett

Niles - Dale L. Barrett, 78, of Ron Joy Nursing Home in Boardman, and formerly of Niles, died at 1:50 a.m. Sunday in the nursing home, where he had been a patient for a year.

He was born Nov. 2, 1918, in Estherville, Iowa, a son of Albert C. and Bessie Towe Barrett, and moved to Trumbull County in 1945.

Mr. Barrett was a truck driver for Standard Oil Co., Coastal Truck Lines and United Van Lines. He also worked as a transportation supervisor for Niles City Schools and served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.

Survivors include two sons, David D., of Balboa, Calif., and Beau of Joshua Tree, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Jon (Sheila) Clay of Glen Ellen, Ill. and Mrs. Sharen Martin of Boardman; brother, Ronald of Indianapolis, Ind.; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

Private graveside services will be held in Niles City Cemetery and there are no calling hours. Reese-Wynn-Winyard-McDermott Funeral Home handled the arrangements. 4/29/97
