Joseph “Joe” Daniel went home to be with the Lord on August 25, 2017 after a brief illness. Joe was born March 29, 1928 in Ewing, VA. He moved with his wife Ruth and young family to Ohio where they lived for several years. He worked as a tool and dye operator at Dayton Rubber Company. After retiring he and Ruth moved back to Ewing where he later retired from farming. Joe enjoyed visiting, eating and talking with friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Ruth, daughter Diane, granddaughter Melissa and his parents, Harrison and Delie Daniel.
Joe was survived by his son, Leslie Daniel and wife Helen, one grandson, Jason Daniel and wife Tami, two grandchildren, Joel and Alexandra. He also leaves behind a special nephew, Doug Carmony and wife Carolyn, special friends, Magdaline Collins and Linda Brightwell, all his wonderful neighbors and a host of nieces and nephews and friends. Joe will be greatly missed but his memory will remain in each of us.
Family and friends met at Robinette Funeral Home in Rose Hill on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 10:00 AM to proceed to Lee Memorial Gardens, Woodway, VA for graveside services at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations to a charity in his memory.
