Jamie A. (Link) Marshall, 59, of Sherman, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center.
Jamie was born March 30, 1958 in Quincy, the daughter of John A. and Patricia A. Elbus Link. She married Lance E. Marshall on April 24, 2004.
Jamie graduated from Sacred Heart Academy, and later obtained a Bachelor’s of Psychology at Quincy College. Upon graduating she worked as a substance abuse counselor and intake coordinator for the Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center in Springfield. Since 1999, she and husband Lance owned and operated Solutions Counseling in Springfield. She loved to read, especially James Patterson books. Jamie enjoyed classic rock music and collecting Longaberger baskets, playing with her beloved dogs (Zoe, Gracie and Dreyfus) and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her kind and generous spirit.
She was preceded in death by her mother; and grandparents, Phillip A. and Edna L. (Maas) Link, Fred and Anna Elbus; niece, Aubrey Hish; and Donald and Eddie Joe Stinson.
She is survived by her husband, Lance E. Marshall of Sherman; father, Jack Link of Springfield; step-daughters, Amanda (Charlie) Marshall-Lucas of Havana, Andrea (Jason) Boothe of Petersburg, Adrianne Marshall of Havana, Alaina Marshall of Springfield, and Alexa Marshall of Havana; three grandchildren, Arian and Archer Marshall-Lucas, and Bexley Boothe; siblings, Jeff (Janice) Link, Joe (Donna) Link, Jennifer Link, Julia (Tad) Nelmark, Janice Anderson, and Jeremy (Rachel) Link; and nieces and nephews, Zachary and Brandon Link, Claire, Sam, and Matt Nelmark, Gabrielle and Clayton Anderson, and Isaac and Annabelle Link.
Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
