Gary was a proud Vietnam Veteran serving in the 101st Airborne. He spent a career working in Marine Engineering for CDI after 26 years as a pipefitter. Gary was also an active member of both VFW and the American Legion.
In his spare time, Gary used his green thumb to grow vegetable for the family.
Gary leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 46 years, Linda; Twins, Jenny Eller and Christopher Reid; grandchildren, Cora Reid, Cameron Reid and Brandon Eller; and brother, Raymond Reid.
An 11:00 a.m. graveside service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6309 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, VA 23502. The family will receive guests on Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, 6:00-9:00 p.m., at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk VA, 23502.
