She is preceded in death by her parents, Christine Victor and Mike Latimer, and several siblings: Vera Norman, Joyce Rose, and Larry Latimer.
Linda is survived by 3 children: Deanna and Steve Thompson, Debbie and Robert Burkes, and David Ashley and Diana Tomberlin, 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Elaine and Sandy.
Linda worked for many years at the 4 Sands West Motel and then the Southern Oklahoma Resource Center. She was recognized several times for excellence in her work and was awarded Employee of the Year as well. After her retirement she spent several years enjoying her family, attending church and volunteering at Clowns for Christ.
Her favorite pastimes were always spending time with her family, reading, walking, collecting and making dolls, and playing bingo. During her illness, she was cared for by the wonderful staff of the Washita Valley Nursing Home and the Wynnewood Care Center.
Graveside funeral services are being planned for Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at 10 a.m. at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery officiated by Rev. Charles Ledbetter. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
