Portsmouth - Marion T. Patterson 81, of Clay Street passed October 14, 2017. She was born in Portsmouth, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles D. Patterson and several beloved siblings. She was one of the chartered members of Centennial Baptist Church and served faithfully for 51 years. She served on the Senior Choir, Cheerful Workers, The Sunday School, GUILD Kitchen Ministry and was a faithful servant in many other capacities in the church. She as well was a devoted member of the Class of 1955 I.C. Norcom High School alumni.

She leaves to cherish and honor her memory five children: Andreia P Lynch(Steven), Ylonda P. Boatwright, Charissa D. Perkins(Timothy), Charlotte Steward(Keith), and Legacy X. Mills,three sisters, Olga L. Garrett, Clara L. Williams, Marie T. Ridgeway, four grandchildren, Leontyne' B. Wil, Ashlee S. Lynch, Kayla C. Steward, Kyra C. Steward, one great grandchild, Tyler L. Boatright-Williams, a brother-in-law, Richard J. Patterson, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, classmates, and loving neighbors.

Funeral Friday, October 20, 2017 at 10:00AM at Centennial Baptist Church. The burial will be at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk, VA. Viewing will be Thursday from 1-7PM. Fisher Funeral Home, 1520 Effingham Street, Portsmouth, VA.
