Maria Romero Barrett, 80, resident of Santa Fe, Texas passed from this life on Wednesday May 4, 2016.
She was born December 6, 1935 to proud parents Augustine Romero and Eugenia Aguilar in Galveston, Texas. She was a lifetime resident of Galveston County.
Maria spent her career as an executive secretary for UTMB where she retired after 33 years of service.
Maria was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Billy Gene Barrett; sister, Tila Romero and brother, Richard Romero.
She leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Ilene Barrett Folse, four sons, Billy Jack Barrett, Rodney Wayne Barrett and wife Angela, Allen Eugene Barrett, and Christopher Lynn Barrett; four sisters, Olivia Cuello, Rosie Reves, Hortense Faulkner, Julia Messer; three brothers, Dario Romero, Augustine Romero, Jr., and Armando Romero; as well as eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at Crowder Funeral Home Chapel in Dickinson, Texas on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 7:00 pm.
