Glen R. Martin, age 90 of Plymouth, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 in the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center Plymouth Campus with his loving family by his side.

Glen was born on May 2, 1927 in Plymouth, Indiana to Frank S. and Freda (Zartman) Martin. Glen was a self-employed in the pest control business for many years. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. On August 14, 1949 Glen married the former Bonnie Jean Good. They celebrated 64 years of marriage when Bonnie preceded Glen in passing on December 27, 2013. Glen honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the Bremen Church of God.

Those left to cherish Glen's memory are his daughter, Amy and David Martin-Piesz of New Hudson, Michigan; his sons, Dennis and Phyllis Martin of Bourbon, Sam Martin of Plymouth, Eric Martin of Plymouth and Daniel and Darlene Martin of Nashville, Indiana; also surviving are Glen's 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; his son-in-law, David Kravitz of Virginia; sisters, Marcella Fender and Virginia Ann O’Blenis; Glen is preceded in passing by his parents, his wife, Bonnie Jean, two daughters, Deborah and Barbara; his two sisters, Helen Martin and Mary Adams; his eight brothers, Homer G. Martin, Edwin G. Martin, W. John Martin, Harold D. Martin, Howard Martin, Richard H. Martin, Keith F. Martin and Cecil D. Martin.

The Van Gilder Funeral Home is honored to be caring for the Martin family and extend our deepest heartfelt sympathies to the family. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 West Madison Street Plymouth, Indiana 46563 Burial will follow in the New Oak Hill Cemetery.

A time of visiting with the Martin family will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Van Gilder Funeral Home.
