Walter George Chambers, age 83, passed away on May 5th, 2017. He was the husband of Pauline Veronica Chambers, and the father of Paula Samantha Chambers-Tilbanie.

Walter was born in Kingston, Jamaica at Jubilee Hospital, he was the son of Lurline Palmer and Thomas Chambers. After migrating to London, England in 1958 he diligently worked his way up the ranks of the British Railway and earned a supervisory position. After living in London for 20 years, he migrated to Brooklyn, New York. While living in New York, he quickly became the head of security for the American Broadcasting Company (ABC Studios).

His favorite sport was cricket and he enjoyed watching European Football. Although self-taught, education was very important to Walter and he will be remembered for his endless wealth of valuable information. He was also well known for holding a conversation with anyone willing to listen. He was an avid reader, and never missed an episode of Jeopardy. He was a walking dictionary, and could give Google a run for its money.

He is survived by his wife, daughter, three sisters, two brothers, twenty-five nieces and nephews, numerous great grand nieces and nephews, and several great-great grand nieces and nephews. Walter was also a dedicated Godfather to many, and took that role very seriously.

Walter will be sadly missed along our life's path, quietly remembered every day. He is no longer in our life to share, but in our hearts, he will always be there.
