Harlan Russel Danielson of Forsyth, MT went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on February 8, 2017.

He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Jean, and survived by a son, Donald Danielson of Columbus, OH; sister-in-law, Mrs. Shirley Steele, of Billings, MT; nephews, Bobby Steele of Pierce, AZ and Ben Steele of Orange, CA; and niece, Jackie White of Prescott, AZ.

Harlan was born June 18, 1930 in Hardin, MT

In 1948 he joined the United States Army wherein he was assigned to Headquarters Company of the 1st Battalion of the 31st Infantry Regiment. He was a veteran of the Korean War and member of that small but illustrious group of survivors called the “Chosin Frozen,” who fought in the battle at the Chosin Reservoir. After being honorably discharged by the army, he spent his civilian life working in the Moab region of Utah.

Harlan enjoyed a variety of card games, but especially pinnacle. He was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Forsyth, where his contagious smile and firm handshake was always welcoming. Harlan was also a very giving and generous individual who felt deeply for those in need. He especially wanted them to know the joy of the salvation that he had found in Jesus. Harlan will be sorely missed by those who knew him, but particularly by his “Posse.” Yet we know the day shall come when we are reunited in glory to worship the King of Glory.

A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Forsyth on Sunday, February 19 at 6:00 PM
