Florence Houx Marlow was born in Missouri to Frank Lee and Sarah Augusta Camp Houx. She was the youngest of their four children. In May, 1904 she married Charles Robert "Dick" Marlow in the Grand Ballroom in Billings, MT. They had one child, Charles Robert Marlow, Jr., who also carried the nickname of "Dick". Florence saw a great change in the world during her lifetime. She began as a child in the early frontier of Montana and Wyoming, traveling in an ox-drawn cart as a child to having the thrill of flying across the country in jet airplanes. She lived on a small trading post in Wyoming to living in a large home in Santa Rosa and traveling the world with her family. She became a sage businesswoman and never revealed her age. Her date of birth shown here can only be a guess as she never believed in growing "old" and kept a young attitude all her life.
