Willie Cecil Young, 66, of West Memphis, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 in Memphis Tennessee. He was born on December 5, 1950 in Turkey, Texas the son of the late Marshall and Violet Brumley Young.

Willie was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in West Memphis. He worked for eight years in Nashville, Arkansas for Smith Ready Mix, and ARCO Materials. His interests were cooking, fishing, collecting, and working outside as long as his health permitted. Family was most important to him, and he loved cooking Sunday dinner for his family.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Kay Young, parents Marshall and Violet Young, and two sisters Kathy Cowling and Maedonie Ray.

Survivors include his wife of forty-five years Barbara Myrick Young, one son, David Young and wife Lisa; one granddaughter Cynthia Young of Marion, Arkansas; three brothers Marshall Lee Young and wife Barbara Jean of Nashville, Arkansas, Jimmy Young and wife Margie of Jonesboro, Arkansas; Kenneth Young and wife Debbie of Nashville, Arkansas; two sisters Sharon Henderson and husband Delmer of Nashville, Arkansas; and Patricia Harrison and husband Blake of Hot Springs, Arkansas; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Friendship Methodist Church in McCaskill, Arkansas. Interment followed in the Friendship Cemetery, McCaskill, Arkansas.
