PATSY RUTH CAIN

Patsy Cain, age 77 passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017 at Texarkana, TX.
Our beloved mother Patsy Ruth Cain went home to heaven on October 16, 2017. She was born on July 5, 1940 in Idabel to Oscar and Estelle Hornbuckle Shankles.
She married Pete Cain on December 23, 1961 and they were blessed with 3 children.
Patsy loved life and people. She worked for Kellwood Company as a supervisor for many years. She later worked at Mac’s Cleaners, where many people remember her smiling face. She came out of retirement to work with her friend Margie at Joy’s Pecan Orchard where she loved walking to work and seeing people.
Patsy loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church where she enjoyed her Sunday School Class known as the Rockers.
She loved keeping her great granddaughters, Emma, Heidi Jo and Katie and being their playmate where she did whatever they wanted her to do.
Granny, as she was known to family, was famous for her chicken and dressing, beans and coconut pie. She loved going to antique shops and auctions. She might not buy anything but loved looking.
She was preceded in death by her husband Pete; her parents; brothers, Ferris & Harold; sister, Pam; granddaughter, Jackye; and great-grandson, Zack.
She is survived by her children, Charlotte and Johnny Manuel, Jim and Parisha Cain, and Kelley and Chip Thompson; grandchildren, Jr. and Jessica Manuel, Andy and Kristi Manuel, Brandon and Elizabeth Cain, Clint and Sabrina Cain, Cody and Ashley Cain, Hank and C.J. Thompson and Haley and Matt Sims;
great-grandchildren, Emily, Ashley, D.J. and Bree, Benjamin, MacKenzie, Sidney, Adalyn, Ava, Brody, Logan, Aspen, Emma, Heidi Jo, Katie and Kaedance; brother, Dudley and Diane Shankles; sister-in-law, Patsy Shankles,
several nephews, cousins, her special friends, Wynell Wilson and Margie and Cam Wood, and a host of family and friends.
