Sam Alloy, 76, of Salida, passed away on October 14, 2017 at Columbine Manor Care Center. He was born February 10, 1941 in Salida, Colorado to Pete & Mary Alloy.

Sam was a grounds keeper at Denoyers Flower Garden (Brady's West) and he volunteered at the Salida Community Center. He also delivered the Denver Post Newspaper.

Sam loved to watch the Denver Broncos & the Denver Nuggets. He really enjoyed going to all the local Spartan sports game to watch the kids play. He played Bingo often and always looked forward to gathering mushrooms in the woods and making Italian bread. The family & friends all agreed that Sam's greatest joy was his family and helping others.

Survivors include his brother Jim Alloy of Salida, his nieces Shauna, Mindy & Crystal along with numerous cousins & nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday October 19, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Poncha Springs Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations and such may be made to Lewis and Glenn Funeral Home to help defray the funeral cost.
