Madge L Aronson, 84, passed away Wed. July 25, 2012 in Buhl, MN.

She was born in Littlefork Jan. 20, 1928 to John (Jack) and Essie Osborn /Odegard (nee Gaff). She grew up in Littlefork and attended Littlefork School, the same school her three children and two of her grandchildren attended.

Madge was a strong and faithful woman who overcame many hardships. She was widowed twice before she was thirty and raised three children on her own. She earned her GED and attended college classes when she was in her 40’s—including a swimming class even though she didn’t know how to swim.

Madge worked for many years at the Littlefork-Big Falls High School library where many a student will remember her saying, “put your chair down on all four legs” and “push your chairs in”. Madge loved spending time with family and friends, both in-person and through e-mail and Facebook. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, attending concerts and theatre, square dancing, and tending to her flowers. Madge was a member of Littlefork Lutheran Church, VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, RSVP, and volunteer at the Littlefork Care Center.

Madge is survived by her son, Terry (Pam) Aronson of Atlanta GA, daughters Sandy (Al) Lord of Bottineau ND, and Barb (Bob) Murray of Mt. Iron MN, her grandchildren Tim (Tammy) Aronson, Teresa (John) Tesar, Steve Aronson, Darcy (Dan) Tolbert, LeAnn (Paul) Siebert, Scott Vigested, Kevin (Carla) Vigested, Ross (Richard) Murray, and Kara (Paul) Ronning; as well as 12 great grandchildren: Tracy, Tucker, Talia, Nicholas, Michael, Jennifer, JoAtta, Alex, Dylan, Parker, Brady, Naomi, and Evan. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Millie Olson and Gundla Berklund and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arthur Aronson, brother Vernon (Alice) Osborn, brothers and sisters-in-law Bertha (Ray) Fry, Axel (Millie) Aronson, Helen (Ernie) Nordlund, and Conrad (Evior) Aronson.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 11 at 2:00 pm at Littlefork Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Littlefork Lutheran Church Building.
