Norma J. “Teeny” Dawson, age 82, of Berkeley Springs, WV, died on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Cumberland Healthcare Center in Cumberland, MD.

Born on August 10, 1935 in Wheeling, WV, she was the daughter of the late Charles L. and Norma Virginia Moser Long.

Teeny was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. She was a 1953 graduate of Berkeley Springs High School. Teeny was a 50 year member of Berkeley Springs Woman of the Moose Chapter 1311. She was an avid Young and the Restless watcher, a dog lover and was an avid watcher of her favorite football team the Washington Redskins. Teeny was a homemaker all her life.

She is survived by her son, Charles “Chuck” Dawson of Berkeley Springs, WV and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Allen Dawson on May 6, 2014, two brothers, Wilbert C. Long and Charles L. “Larry” Long, Jr.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, WV with Father Brian Shoda officiating. Burial will be in Greenway Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Morgan County, P. O. Box 705, Berkeley Springs, WV 25411.
