Melanie D. Henry went home to be with God on October 14, 2017.

She was born January 7, 1960, in Blount County, TN. She was a graduate of Heritage High School. She also attended Pellissippi State College.

She is preceded in death by her father, Ted Henry, brother, Jeffery Henry, grandparents, Ted Sr. and Emma Henry, Lily Dobson Black and William C. Black.

Melanie was an avid shopper and loved beautiful things. She was a faithful member of Craigs Chapel and even though she wasn’t able to attend very often due to illness, her love for God never wavered.

Melanie leaves to cherish her memory; Mother, Grace Henry, brother, Richard Henry, uncles, Sherman Henry and William E. (Faye) Black, a host of cousins and close friends.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at Foothills Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Dr. Willa Estell, officiating. Family will receive friends from noon to 1:00 p.m. with funeral to follow. Interment will be at Sherwood Gardens following funeral service.

Final arrangements entrusted to Foothills Funeral Home, Maryville.
