32 OTU's Beechcraft Expeditor (#HB100) aircraft, with an aircrew of four, was on a ferry flight from RCAF Rockcliffe, Ontario to Patricia Bay, British Columbia, when it crashed at sea near Patricia Bay.

The four airmen who perished in this accident were-

RCAF Flight Lieutenant Harry Woodward DONKERSLEY,

RCAF Squadron Leader James Gerard FLAHERTY,

RAFVR Squadron Leader Terence Alexander PRINGLE and

RCAF Flying Officer Ernest SOWERBY.
