Sgt (WAG) Eric John Mills R18418, From Timmins, Ontario, Killed Nov 8/43 age 21 # 116 Bomber Reconnaissance Squadron, Botwood, Newfoundland. The Crew of Canso aircraft # 9834was on a transportation flight when the pilot attempted a night landing on glassy water in hazy conditions. The aircraft crashed and sank in the Bay south-east of Botwood, Newfoundland. Sgt (WAG) Eric John Mills has no known grave, his name is inscribed on the Ottawa War Memorial, Ottawa, Ontario.
