Shannon Wallace Kelley, 80, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Sunday, Jan. 28, 1923, at West Eminence, Mo., son of Claude A. and Anna Griffith Kelley. He and Eva Ikerman were married Aug. 3, 1946, at Cape Girar-deau.
Kelley worked for the Cape Girar-deau Police Department for 35 years, attaining the rank of captain. Upon retirement, he and his son formed Shamrock Construction.
He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. He also served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II from 1942-6.
Survivors include his wife; two sons and their wives, and three grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by five brothers.
Friends may call today from 4-8 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
Funeral will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Cy Smith will officiate, with entombment at the Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be made to Smith Chapel Methodist Church in Ellsinore, Mo.
