At the age of 11 years she came with her parents to Canada. In her 17th year of life she repented and found peace with God through the blood of the Lamb and was added to the church fellowship. Through all her years of life she strove to be faithful to God.
In the year of 1882, on June 24, she was united in matrimony with Gerh. Goossen, who preceeded her in death. Our parents shared joy and sorrow for 57 years. Two sons and seven daughters survive.
Three years ago she received a light stroke and did not completely recover. Her memory was effected but at times was quite cleared up. She desired to depart in peace which was granted to her on Mar. 17th.
Our Mother leaves to mourn her death: 7 dau., 2 sons, 53 grandchildren, 2 sisters and many relatives and friends.
We the children, feel very thankful to have had the privilege to have our parents with us for so long a time to teach us the way to heaven. -The Children.
