A FaG member has mistakenly added a memorial for Sally and her husband, Gardner Davis, and is unresponsive to requests for changes.
The dates ascribed to them on the pictured gravestones are incorrect for the real Gardner Davis and Sally Puffer.
The correct Gardner Davis was b. 21 May 1796 in VT (1850/1860 Fed Censuses) and Sally was b. 1802 in NH (same sources).
Sally Puffer died 16 Feb 1854 (Vermont Vital Records 1760-1954 see pic) and Gardner remarried Sophia Goff in 1854. Sophia was b. 29 Jan 1800, Hartland, VT. (North America Family Histories 1500-2000, page 132 Willard Genealogy). They lived in Richford, VT (1860 Fed Census) and Quebec, Canada (1871 Canada Census). Gardner died 21 Mar 1875, Canada.
Gardner died in Quebec 1871-1879. And Sophia died 19 Aug 1884, in VT (North America Family Histories 1500-2000, page 132 Willard Genealogy).
Based on these dates, records and sources the original memorials (121916712 and 121916732) cannot be these two individuals. The dates and places do not match the record sources.
Their childrens' memorials are correct just linked to the wrong memorials.
Hence I've created correct memorials for Gardner and Sally. Gardner's burial location is not known at this time..
