Max was born in 1895 on the London Rd to James Jones Sidner and Mary Susan Roberts. His Mother having been deceased when he was nine months old, he went further down the road and lived with his paternal grandparents. He was raised by his Aunt, who was like a Mother to him. He lived in the house from 9 mos old until he died.



Max was a veteran of World WarOne.He fought in the battles of Champagne-Marne,Aisne-Marne,St Mihiel,Meuse-Argonne,defensive sector.American Expeditionary Forces from Oct18,1917 to April25,1919. This was known as the 42nd Rainbow Division. "Ohio in the Rainbow" by Ray Cheseldine.at the Library.He was a farmer,also worked for Penn Railroad. Max was married to Vivian Harriet Schoby of Plain City Ohio on June 03,1919. They raised seven children,6 girls and one boy. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.He was honest,trustworthy,a man's man.Loved his family.

He also loved to garden,vegetable as well as flower.He had one of the nicest lawns on the road where he lived.
