Melissa Irene Morris, peacefully passed on Thursday, December 12th. She was preceded in passing by her Father, Rick Morris and her Grandparents from both her Mother and Father's side - Robert and Irene Schaffer and Mickie and Marion Morris, respectively. Melissa was an Indianapolis resident, graduated from Bishop Chatard High School, Purdue University as well as University of Indianapolis for her Master's degree. She had an enormous smile that lit up any room and could correct the spelling of those from Webster's. Melissa was beautiful and intelligent and her wit was unmatched. More than anything she LOVED being an Aunt to her brother and sister's children. If you are a friend or a member of Melissa's family there is not a doubt in your mind about the love she had for you. She will be sorely missed by all of us. Melissa is survived by her loving Mother, Rebeka Franklin (Step Father Danny Franklin), her siblings Nicole and Christopher Morris, her niece, Rebeka Woodley and her Nephews, Charlie and Sam Morris. Visitation will be Monday, December 16, from 4 – 8 PM at Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will begin Tuesday, December 17, at 1:00 PM in St. Pius X Catholic Church. The family respectfully requests that donations to the Indianapolis Humane Society be made in Melissa's name in lieu of flowers or gifts to the family. Memorial tributes may be offered at www.feeneyhornakkeystone.com
