Mrs. Parson's life centered around church. She had served several church organizations over the years and was fond of visiting the sick and others with her husband. Of particular interest in her life was ministering to children, especially middle school aged, with music and bible study. Despite failing health in recent years, she continued to minister to others through phone calls, cards and letters. A sacrificial mom, she loved to spend time with family including her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Rev. Kevin S. Parsons of Mercer, she leaves a daughter, Rachel (Paul) Menard of Spring Hill, TN; a son, Joseph (Amanda) Parsons of Spring Hill, TN; a sister, Lynn (Jim) Guinn of Dyersburg; four brothers, Russell (Carol) and Tim (Oksana) Phillips, both of Dyersburg, Terry (Marcia) Phillips of Nashville and Jim (Mary) Phillips of Atoka, TN; and five grandchildren, Benjamin, Westen and Webb Parsons, Harley Grace Menard and Lauren Goodwin.
