Brenda Ann Hatfield Lockard, 71, of Hardy, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 12, 2017, from the Tug Valley ARH Medical Center in South Williamson, Kentucky, with her husband and daughter at her side.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Brenda was an excellent cook, loved crafting, flowers and doing for others. A Christian, she gave her life to the Lord on August 21, 1980, and served Him in many capacities over the years. Brenda was a retired florist from Belfry Floral at Toler, Kentucky.
Born January 5, 1946, at Sharondale, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Bert and Rena Kendrick Hatfield.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Glendene Hatfield and Wanda Page.
Beloved wife of Teddy Lockard; loving mother of Kelly (Mikey) Smith; devoted grandmother of Madison and Kayla Smith, all of Hardy, Kentucky; caring sister of Charlene Hatfield of Proctorville, Ohio, and Lynn Worley of Canada, Kentucky. She leaves a hort of host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, October 15, 2017, at 1 p.m. in Toler, Kentucky with Roger Williamson conducting and Brother Mikey Smith officiating.
Interment followed in the Smith Cemetery, Sidney, Kentucky, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
A Visitation was held on Saturday, October 14, 2017, from 6 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
