WILLIAM O. HOCHKAMMER
(1923 - 2017)

William "P.K." O. Hochkammer, Sr., age 94, a resident of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc, formerly of 5908 Center Road, Manitowoc, died Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Shady Lane.

He was born on May 19, 1923 in Manitowoc, son of the late Otto & Lydia (Stockmeier) Hochkammer. William was a graduate of Whittier Elementary School, town of Newton. On March 25, 1944 he married the former Jeanette Schnell at Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church, Manitowoc. He was the owner/operator of Hochkammer Dairy Farm, from which he retired from. William also operated Hochkammer Home for Boys from 1970 to 1986 and then from 1987 until 2004 for the elderly. He was an active member of the Newton Lions and retired from the Newton Firefighters after 50 years of service. William loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife: Jeanette Hochkammer, Manitowoc; their children: William O. & Marcia Hochkammer Jr., Michigan, Jim E. & Yvonne Hochkammer, Manitowoc, Robert E. Hochkammer and his significant other Bonnie Gannon, Plymouth, Jon H. & Debbie Hochkammer, Verona, WI., Tom E. & Anne Hochkammer, Manitowoc, Paul L. & Johnna Hochkammer, Manitowoc, Donna F. & Rick Wippermann, Newton; 19 Grandchildren; 34 Great Grandchildren; One Great Great Grandchild; and a sister-in-law: Bernice Hochkammer. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by a grandchild: Terry Hochkammer; a great grandchild: Zachery Hochkammer; one sister and brother-in-law: Edna (Buddy) Hackman; a brother: Erwin Hochkammer; and two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Kenneth & Ruth Schnell and Harold & Alice Schnell.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 13, 2017 at Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church, 6524 County Road C, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Service will be the Rev. Kyle Sorensen with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family will greet relatives and friends at Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church, Manitowoc, from 4:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday October 12, 2017. Friends may also call Friday morning at the church from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
