Carolyn Clayton, 70, of Whitney, passed away at her home on February 27, 2017. The family will hold a memorial service at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Fort Graham Baptist Church with Dr. Allan Lane officiating.

Carolyn was born on May 3, 1946, in Cleburne, to D.C, and Alyne (Eaton) Garner. She grew up in the Cleburne and Joshua area. In 1986, she married Charles Clayton. She worked as a cook for Town Hall Estates and was also a private sitter. She was a member of Fort Graham Baptist Church. In her spare time, she liked fishing, watching movies and spending time with her grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were three sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Clayton of Whitney; children, Buzz Lightfoot and wife, Teri of Joshua, Curtis Lightfoot of Parker, Traci Bryant and husband, Terry of Ohatchee, Alabama, and Danielle Clayton and husband, Sal Trejo of Whitney; a brother, Danny Garner of Wichita Falls; sisters, Barbara Kimbrell of Whitney, Linda Bullard of Laguna Park, Sib Higgins and husband, Kenneth of Clifton and Glenda Tubbs of Blum; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
