The unincorporated community of Goulds in Miami-Dade County, Florida is named for Lyman B. Gould. Goulds was originally Gould's Siding, where the lumber from the sawmill was loaded onto the trains. He was a foreman of a logging crew who cut railroad ties for the construction of the Key West Extension of the Florida East Coast Railway.
