Alaska resident Patsy Jo Ross, 80, passed away on Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, at the Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska.

A memorial service will be held for Patsy on Friday, Oct. 13, 2017, at the Anchorage Pioneer Home, 923 West 11th Avenue, Anchorage, AK 99501, 5th floor, at 1 p.m.

Patsy was born on Nov. 19, 1936, in Prosser, Wash.

She graduated from Prosser High School in 1954.

In 1964, she journeyed north to Alaska, and lived in places like Moose Creek, North Pole and Fairbanks, were she was the Eielson Air Force Base Civil Service Meat Market Manager, and finally settling in Anchorage in her later years.

Patsy was a member of the Pioneers of Alaska, as well as member of several other groups and organizations, where she had many achievements and awards for her services.

In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, making her own jewelry, attending crafts shows and spent countless hours with family and friends.

Patsy will be remembered as "being a one of a kind person.

Her generosity was endless, and her fun loving life attitude was contagious.

Pat made friends no matter where she went and she was always ready for an adventure.

There are not too many roads in Alaska she didn't travel.

She has touched the hearts of many and will be missed more than words can express.''

Pasty is survived by her brother and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the
Anchorage Pioneer Home, 923 West 11th Avenue, Anchorage, AK 99501; and to Fresenius Medical Care, 9085 Blackberry Street, Anchorage, AK 99502.
