Mrs. Virginia (Ginny) Mae Perry Federline, 89, of Williamsport, Md., and formerly of Sun City Center, Fla., and Gaithersburg, Md., passed away with grace and peace on Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown, Md. She was the beloved wife of John T. Federline for 67 years.

She was born March 12, 1923, in Frederick, Md. She was the fourth child of the late Harry C. Perry and Nannie Bentz Perry.

Virginia is also survived by three children, Elaine Frye and husband, Gene, of Falling Waters, W.Va., Mary Jackson and husband, John, of Boyds, Md., and John T. Federline Jr. and wife, Mabel, of Athens, Ga. She was also worshipped and adored by grandchildren, Kent Jackson and wife, Gretchen, Keith Jackson, Brian Frye and fiancee, Barbra Weisman, and Allison and Jennifer Federline. She will also be remembered lovingly by her great-grandchildren, Kyle Frye, Taylor Bloom, Caitlin and Erinn Frye, and Maddie and Ryan Jackson. In addition to her wonderful family, she will be greatly missed by her beloved companion and pet, Buffy.

She was one of 13 children, and is survived by siblings, Harry C. Perry Jr. (Bud) and spouse, Dot, of New Jersey, sister-in-law, Lillian, of Montana, Richard Perry and spouse, Lu, of Gaithersburg, Lawrence Perry of Damascus, Md., Sue Perry Wynne and Frances Perry Kennedy, both of Frederick, sister-in-law, Anna (Bunny) Perry of Germantown, Md., Roxanne Perry Stewart of Arizona, Dorothy Perry Beebe and spouse, Richard, of Urbana, Md., and Janet Perry Bognaski and spouse, Paul, of Mount Airy, Md. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, James Perry and David (Sonny) Perry; two sisters, Harriett Perry Gartner and Ruth Perry Bowman; and sister-in-law, Gladys Gilliam Perry.

Virginia was well-known as the manager of Marie's Clothes Closet in Gaithersburg for more than 20 years. Her sense of style and fashion knowledge was indispensable to many clients over the years. She was also a charter member of the Gaithersburg Lioness Club, serving as president for several years.

She and John spent nine years in Florida, enjoying the benefits of retirement. They returned to Maryland in 2001, continuing an active lifestyle with family and friends.

Memorial services will be Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown.

The family will receive friends Monday one hour before the service.
