Natalie Lopez Johnson, of Moorhead, MN, was 85 years of age when she quietly and without pain, passed away on Oct 9, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sabino and Leocadia Lopez; husband, Roger Dale Johnson; six brothers, Aglie, Manuel, Ruben, Benito, John and Steven, all of Moorhead; sister, Margaret Coronado of Chicago; four sister-in-laws, Alice (Aglie), Delores (Steven), Margorie (Manuel) and Phillis (John).
Born December 1, 1931, in what is now known as Woodlawn Park (Skunk Hollow), Moorhead, her family moved to Kragnes, MN and worked as migrant workers. Natalie was the youngest of eight children and graduated from Moorhead High School in 1951.
Natalie married Roger Dale Johnson on September 15, 1957, and they made
their home in Moorhead where they raised one daughter, Margaret, born on
July 27, 1964.
In the early 1950's, Natalie worked in St. Ansgar's Hospital in north Moorhead starting in the records department. She moved into the maternity ward as a nurse's aid, then the surgical ward, and retired as an operating room nurse's assistant in 1987. She then worked at Clay County Diversified Services with the adult mentally delayed until her retirement in 1997.
Natalie was loved and will be missed.
