Esther Mae Fickert, nee Doebbler, of Houston died October 5, 2017.
Mrs. Fickert was born November 18, 1924 in Fredericksburg, Texas. She was the Daughter of Bruno and Caroline Schlueter Doebbler She married William E. Fickert August 24, 1944 in Austin, Texas. He survives.
She was a graduate of Fredricksburg Senior High School and Nixon-Clay Business School in Austin, Texas.
She is survived by her husband, one daughter Karen Ann McCoy and spouse Scott McCoy and one son Gary Lee Fickert. She is also survived by grandchildren; Shawn McCoy, Kristin Nicole Fickert and John Austin Fickert. Also surviving are her sister-in-laws Vernell Doebbler and Joan Finkboner.
She was proceeded in death by her parents and brothers August and Franklin.
Funeral services are to be held on Friday October 13th at 11:30 in the Schaetter Funeral Home in Fredericksburg Texas.
Graveside services and Interment will follow at the Grapetown Community Cemetery in Gillespie County, Texas.
Visitation will be held on Friday October 13th from 9:30-11:30 in the Chapel of the Schaetter Funeral Home in Fredericksburg.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the charity of one’s choice.
A Memorial service is to be held at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church in Houston, Texas at a later date.
