Roy Horton, age 77, of the Maple Gap section of Swords Creek, VA passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at his home.
Roy was born in Swords Creek, VA and was the son of the late Bill and Molly E. Reynolds Horton. He was a lifelong resident of the Swords Creek area and was mechanic for Mullins Ford before he went to GNR Gas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bently Horton, Lee Horton, Calvin Horton, Paul Horton and Donald Horton.

Funeral services for Roy Horton will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 13, 2017 at Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, VA with Rev. Dennis White and Rev. Dannie Short officiating. Interment will follow Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, VA. Pallbearers will be: Randy Horton, Sr., Randy Horton, Jr., Ed Messick, Arvis Stevenson, Michael Saunders, Darrell Horton, Jackie Horton, and Bobbie Jo Horton.
