FORT WORTH - Ruby Lee Morton, 92, a retired employee of Southwestern Bell after more than 40 years of service, died Saturday, Oct. 23, 1999, at a Fort Worth nursing home.

Graveside service: 3 p.m. Monday at Greenwood Memorial Park. Mrs. Morton will lie in state until 1 p.m. Monday at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home.

Ruby Morton was born Aug. 18, 1907, in New Hope. She was a longtime resident of Fort Worth. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and a former member of the Order of Eastern Star.

She loved her grandchildren and horses, enjoyed her work and was the twin sister of Ruth Hadley.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond H. Morton; and son, James Morton.

Survivors: Daughter-in-law, Gayle A. Morton of Fort Worth; granddaughters, Cindy Angelakopoulos, Janet Messman, Linda Garriott and Sally Humberson; and 10 grandchildren.
