She worked in Banking and Bank Management. Joy attended Henderson State Teachers College, was a lifelong member of Beech Street Baptist Church, She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, spending time on the lake and fishing.
Joy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Lawrence White, Sr., two brothers: Art Trout and Jim Bob Trout. Joy is survived by her son, Larry White and wife Annette of Gurdon, Arkansas, two grandchildren; Kelly (Jeanie) White of Gurdon, Arkansas and Tracy White (Rodney) Grice of Bryant, Arkansas, five great-grandchildren: Tucker, Calley, Garret, Sawyer and Grace.
Visitation will be: Thursday, October 12th, 2017 from 1–2:30 p.m. prior to Service: at 2:30 p.m. at Beech Street Baptist Church, Gurdon, Arkansas with Bro. David Graves officiating. Interment: will follow in Center Ridge Cemetery.
