Mildred Marie Watkins, 78, passed away Friday, October 21 at St. Joseph Regional Health Care in Bryan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 27 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Msgr. John McCaffrey officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 – 7 p.m. Wednesday with a rosary service at 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.

Mildred was born October 20, 1938 in Dime Box the daughter of Willie and Annie (Hruska) Tydlacka. She was employed with Texas A&M University where she worked in the University Book Store and retired after ten years of service. Mildred was a member of the Bryan Fire Department Ladies Axillary and St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Mildred is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 50 years, Weldon W. Watkins; grandson, Joseph Angelo Watkins; three brothers and one sister.

She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Robert Wayne Watkins, Stuart James Watkins and wife Debbie all of Bryan; stepdaughter, Debra Jo Cox of Owenton, Kentucky; stepson, David Weldon Watkins and wife Terri of Galveston; grandsons, Abraham James Watkins; and step-grandsons, Jacob David Watkins and Joshua Daniel Watkins.
